So I was in the mood to make something blingtastic this afternoon. I wanted to use my new-ish glittery embossing powders, so those somewhat dictated my colour scheme, red and black. I embossed the flower and the circle greeting. Then added even more bling: a gelly gem to dot the i. I remembered I had this awesome Cherry Arte paper in my stash, which went nicely with everything. Then I got my black grosgrain attached, and the card all assembled. It looked good, but as I sat there with my little jar of gelly gems staring up at me, I thought, hmm, maybe it needs more...
So since the the gelly gems come so nicely in a long strip, I could just separate them where I needed to and place them right on top of the ribbon. It's like the card was meant to have those gems on there, they fit exactly, on either side of the main image panel! How often does that happen! I was just checking out the gelatins website, and unfortunately these gems "dazzle me" are on backorder, but there's still some of the "bright lights" here if you're interested .
What a great card! Never enough bling! :) LOL

Yes, we all need more glitter and sparkles in our lives...how are things? Plans for the summer? Life is ridiculous here. I've been hit with a wave of depression-ish feelings, but...I can feel it slowly lifting...and the blog entries will follow. Miss you!
