I think one of things that helped the most is I limited myself to very specific supplies, since I temporarily relocated upstairs. One of the stamps I brought with me was this delightful Surfboard Trio stamp by DeNami Designs.
I stamped that, coloured it in with the Kohinoors, then put in quite a few layers. I wasn't really thinking too much about it, I just kept thinking "hey, this would look good layered on green, then black..." So I did that, twice. I have to say I LOVE the effect of stamping a solid image on a textured cardstock. Especially on a card that is tropical themed. It just seems like the perfect touch. The funniest thing about this card, when both my mom and my sister picked it up to check it out (they were NOT in the same room at the times) they both said "whoa". I guess it did end up a tad on the heavy side. Guess it's a hand deliver only kind of card :D
That's all for now! Hope your day was full of sunshine!
