Birthday Balloons

I have to say I'm quite surprised, I have a GIVEAWAY happening on this blog right now and only 4 comments... I thought people liked free stuff :D

Up for grabs is the totally adorable "Into the Forest" by i {heart} papers. Leave a comment on this post or on this one to enter the chance to win the stamp set. Contest closes at 8:00 PM CST Wednesday.

And here's a card today as well. I quite like Lemon Tart, Dark Chocolate, and a touch of white. It's just so cheerful! I didn't have any 3/8'' yellow ribbon, so I grabbed the Buttercup coloured Copic and coloured some white grosgrain.
Supplies: Stamps: Everyday Button Bits, Vintage Picnic, Polka Dot Basics II Paper: White, Lemon Tart, Dark Chocolate Ink: Dark Chocolate, Fresh Snow Accessories, etc.: Lemon Tart buttons, white grosgrain, scallop punch, pop dots, Copic

Friendly Bear, with Candy

Today I have a card featuring one of my favorite images from the newly released Into the Forest, the bear. I stamped the bear and cut it out, then coloured it with Copics. To get a fun pattern on the bandanna, I coloured it, let it dry, then drew a lined pattern with a white gel pen. I popped it up with pop dots, then added a cut label punch phrase tab. I wanted a smaller scalloped border, so instead of using a punch, I used the long scalloped rectangle nestabilities. I finished it off with a few of these adorable corduroy brads and some dotted embossed paper. Now for the fun part, today I have one Into the Forest stamp set to give away. Leave a comment on this post for your chance to win the set below. Leave a comment by Wednesday Aug 19 by 8:00PM CST!

Stamp It! Cards

Have you seen the latest issue of Stamp It! Cards? These special issues are always my favorite. They are full of gorgeous cards and awesome techniques, every one of them featuring stamping! I was lucky enough to have six cards accepted in this issue, my first multiple acceptance.

Cath, of the fun and fabulous Moxie Fab World blog, invited me and nine other designers, to create a card for a special giveaway. Each card is signed by the designer that created it and they're being offered up as a prize for you today! Check out the post over at Moxie Fab World blog and leave a comment, you will be entered to win all ten signed cards. You have until Sunday, March 22 at midnight, MST to play along. And be sure to keep an eye on the Moxie blog all week because it's Stamp It! Cards Week and they've got all kinds of fun planned. Be sure to check out the Paper Crafts blog too!

Here's my card, I cannot get enough of Friends 'Til the End, so I created a little something with that set.
I stamped the flowers with Vintage Cream pigment ink onto the cardstock vellum, then I stamped a few flowers in Melon Berry, then added a sentiment and a few buttons. Inside the card is another piece of Vintage Cream cardstock, so when the card lays flat, you get that extra matted effect.

The other designers being featured today are:

Maren Benedict
Kim Kesti
Julia Stainton
Teri Anderson
Angie Hagist
Debbie Olson
Melissa Phillips
Dawn McVey
Jen del Muro

Have you seen??

Irene has done it again! The latest DoodleFactory release is AMAZING. I think my favorite image is Coco the polar bear, too cute.

You have a chance to win the stamps here (click link :D ). Or if you'd rather not risk it, you can always purchase them, they start shipping next week some time. The matching sentiments are free when you buy the full unmounted sheet. That offer is good until Christmas!

Stars Galore and......

A Giveaway!!

But first, my card! I love this Superstar set, as soon as I saw it at Scraptivity, I knew I had to have it, there's just somethng about stars, I am obsessed with them! Also, I was really liking this week's colour challenge, so I used those 5 colours (rust, saffron, olive, chocolate, and caribbean). They are very fun, earthy, yet fresh colours. The card has a bit of a twist. I wanted a rounded card front with some of the inside stamping peeking out. I traced a large round object I found in my craft space (a lid of a hat box, if you must know!) I love making backgrounds with the clear stamps words. Even with my stamp-a-ma-jig, I would NEVER attempt this with wood mounted rubber stamps, talk about a way to drive yourself insane. The congratulations is one of the sentiments from the Hero Arts messages set.

Now onto the giveaway, right!! Alright, I've got a "naked", ready to be covered in whatever way you deem fit, DVD tin. Inside the tin will be all sorts of goodies, including some MM page pebbles, some American Crafts ribbon, and assorted papers from DCWV Far East and Once Upon a Time mat stacks, and maybe some other items that I find between Monday and now. To be eligible for the giveaway, please post your comment on this post. Sometime Monday night, let's say 9PM CT, I will randomly choose one lucky winner and post the name shortly thereafter. Sounds good? I look forward to hearing from you all! Here's a glimpse of the items up for grabs.
