Be Merry

This is one of those cards that I really wanted to be awesome, but I think it turned out just okay. I've got a meeting on Saturday morning with my up-upline and sidelines, and we do swaps. Unfortunately, I planned and prepared all the pieces for this one before actually assembling a prototype. So now I don't want to change the design too much, since I've got all the pieces. I blame the cold for not thinking things through clearly. Since I really enjoy making the scalloped edges with the corner rounder, I wanted to show them that. I just still want to keep adding to it, but I'm not sure where. I tried matting the snowflake piece on a thyme circle, didn't like how it look. Maybe some more designer paper? We shall see. For now, I figured it's been since Monday since an update, so here it is. I also want to send a big thanks to the great Julie Ebersole, for sharing the ultrasimple way to get the bow/knots to look so good! It's such an easy method, that I never would have thought of it. Her blog is here: http://papertrufflez.typepad.com/

  1. I'm going to have to try this scallopping technique of yours! My friend has a corner rounder, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow. =)

I like this card. Simple. Clean. Cherry. I would add some sparkle to the big snow flake.
    =)
